"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change"

Carl Rogers, PhD

Approach

I believe that human connection is central to our emotional and physical well-being. Many of us long for authentic relationships but find it difficult to feel safe, comfortable, or truly ourselves with others.

In my practice, I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore obstacles, heal past wounds, and discover new ways of being. My approach is client-centered and I will suggest, and we will create, a treatment approach based on your unique history.

Therapy with me is not so much about problem-solving and much more about:

  • Developing self-awareness and self-compassion

  • Strengthening resilience in the face of stress

  • Healing trauma stored in the body

  • Building meaningful and authentic relationships

  • Personal growth and empowerment

I integrate Somatic Experiencing® into my psychotherapy work, supporting clients to listen to the body’s signals, release held trauma, and restore balance.

"I found Michael's somatic approach to be very insightful and helpful. I became more aware of the connection between my mind and body that I had previously had a tendency to overlook.  Michael established a secure and validating environment where I felt at ease sharing my thoughts.

During our sessions, I not only felt listened to but also learned a great deal about my body's responses to various emotions and situations, an insight that I continue to rely on now in everyday life. I'm grateful for Michael's expertise and compassionate guidance during this time."
